On the disappearing (Progressive) Conservative

I take your point. Our own traditional Conservative party (the Progressive Conservative Party, sometimes known as the Forwards Backwards party among pundits) was taken over by a neocon group a few years back in a forced merger. They're now running our government, though (happily) still in stealth mode because enough of us recognize them for what they are and they haven't managed to pull together a majority.

Anyway. With the person who posted that marvelous rant (thanks for that) and, I suspect, yourself, I too miss them. I thought they were wrong about just about everything but they were nevertheless people one could talk to and actually engage in debate. By and large, they had the best interests of society in mind as much as "my side" did.

Guess I'd better work on my satirical skills.
